Automakers Unleash a Spring Crop of New Models

Two weeks after the New York International Auto Show the world's carmakers have another crop of fresh new models ready for public exhibition.

Some of these models will appear at the Shanghai Motor Show, while others were introduced at unrelated sites around the world at the same time as the Chinese auto show.

While EVs gain attention as harbingers of the industry's future, there are still new models being introduced with combustion power.

The variety of this batch of announcements shows that we'll continue to see technical diversity as well as individual styling despite concerns of convergence on both fronts rendering vehicles indistinguishable.
